I can't open images

I re-downloaded illustrator CC because of below them. but it is contiue.

when I drag jpg, I can't see that. just like this.

so I clicked [file]-[open]

but I have enough memory in my computer.

also, when I open other illust file, I can't open it

what happen to me? what should I do?

Do you tried using File> Place to insert your image instead ?!
Please tell us more about your PC specifications.

File > Place will silently fail without dialog

I had used CC korean version during 3 months. but I want to use english version. so I deleted cc and downloaded cc english version. but it has something wrong. I downloaded again, but it was same.

I tried to other images jepg, png but I couldn't see it.

So you didn't uninstall, but just deleted it?

There may be something messed up with your installation.

Please try and fix that with the Adobe Cleaner tool: Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

Yes, PNG is worst nothing show up even border for transform.

Does that happen with all your JPEGS? Or just this one?

Many of them, small one is fine 32px, 64px, 512px

Did it ever work?

Yes, it work perfectly before but now image bigger than 640px didn't seem to work

And yes I had 4GB left for RAM

We are sorry that you ran into this issue. I would request both of you to try these steps and share results:

For MAC

Close all Adobe applications.

~/Library/Caches

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe

~/Library/Preferences

Delete or rename  Adobe Illustrator, com.adobe.illustrator and Adobe Illustrator 22 Settings folders.

Launch Illustrator from the Creative Cloud.

For Windows

Close all Adobe applications.

Go to Locations C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Adobe and.

Delete or rename  Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Illustrator 22 Settings folders.

Launch Illustrator from the Creative Cloud

Done, still have problems. and not just this problem export or save for web also throw an error

And yes I should open new issue, But no I'm too lazy and I think it's related, something to do with DPI, screen size

And yes I have a lot of RAM, And I've to import AI to PSD to export for ONG as a workaround

I use mbp2017 16GB ram 10.13.6, so not thing wrong with user side,

I can't import nor export properly and really not happy now.

I use illustrator for many year, I also programmer myself.

All I can tell is you guys pretty mess up, go fix it!

What is the source of that image? Sometime images that have been downloaded from any cloud service include some information that restrict Ai to open them

You tried to reset your application:
Pressing Ctrl+Alt+Shift immediately when you press to open your software and hold pressing for seconds.

Which version is your issue about and which system?

If it's Illustrator 2020 then please watch a thread that covers that version. There are plenty.

No It's about cc 2018. Is there a solution or do I need to uninstall and reinstall it cause during my  installation something went wrong?

When I drop an image there is n I reaction like I did nothing and when I place a jpg image it doesn't show the image only its size. So I would say yes I can't place any types of images

Can you open those images in Photoshop, save them via Save for web and then try again?

There might be types of JPG and PNG that Illustrator can't import or show.

Tried it still nothing is there a solution? Maybe it's some plug in? Somewhere I read that something went wrong during installation is it true? Offer me solutions not things to try... There is a problem with importing photos

In order to find out where the actual issue is, you must try certain things. The problem with re-installing is that you can't get this particular version with the CC app anymore.

So what you need to do is contact Customer Care.

Only they can login to your system. Only they can give you that version for a re-install.
