I can't run Adobe Illustrator as I keep getting configuration error on my Mac.
I have tried reinstalling the application several times which hasn't helped. I tried running the Adobe CC cleaner and then resintalled the Adobe Creative Launcher in admin profile then installed the application again, that also didn't help. I tried creating a new admin profile, which did work temporarily for a few days then the problem cropped up again. I even tried downgrading from Mac OS Serria to El Capitan with a complete reinstall of the OS (I didn't use time machine or use any of my old preferences), then reinstalled the application worked fine for about a week then config errors were back.
I tried the following KB fixes which both have not fixed my problem.
"Failed to install" error received when installing Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app
Configuration error in Adobe Creative Cloud
At this point I have a non functioning product and no idea what to do to get this going.
Macbook Pro 2015 - El Capitan 10.11.6, no Antivirus software.
Any suggestions?
Further to my original post. I found what the issue was, as I said even after setting up a new profile, within days the error would crop up again. Turns out it was the system language of Mac OS causing the problem. If you have English version of Illustrator, make sure you have your Mac OS language set to English. That fixed the issue for me.
The error message could be a little more descriptive to avoid all the confusion.

Hi, I did call Contact Customer Care,
however to no success, they recommended i create a new user account. This has fixed the problem so for, but now I have to reset all my preferences, emails etc - so not ideal.
Any other suggestions??

User accounts might get corrupted from time to time.
Since you have already uninstalled and reinstalled, there's not much left to do about it.
Maybe you find some Apple user account guru who knows which of the hundreds of files to touch exactly how in order to fix the issue.

Thanks a lot for this last post. I had the same issue, tried running the Adobe CC cleaner and then reinstalling CC without success. Then I selected the same language for Mac OS and Illustrator and now it works…
