Illustrator is unusably slow in MacOS Big Sur
Hello Adobe Community,
I am having a terrrible experince with Adobe Illustrator in MacOS, the app turns unusable with any file that has mildly complex vectors or large size embedded images. It becomes laggy and unresponsive.
I have tried almost all the solutions that I could find online and in the support community without improvment, some of the fixes that I tried:
- Disabling keyboard dedication
- Turning off font preview
- Using GPU/CPU views
- Turning off overprint preview
- Reducing undo count to 50
- Turned off data recovery for complex files
- Reset NVRAM
- Disabled Anti-aliased atrwork
- Disabled Automatic Graphic Switching in MacOS preferences
I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016), 2.6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, Radeon Pro 450 2 GB Graphics, 256GB SSD. It runs MacOS Big Sur Version 11.5. Adobe Illustrator Version is 25.3.1.
I hope someone can help if fixing this issue.
Thanks in advance!
