Making Artboards within an Artboard

Hello, before the last update, using the shift key in artboard mode allowed me to draw an artboard within an already existing one. Now that the shift key function has changed, is there another shortcut or key combination to do this? I know there are alternative ways, but none are as quick.

This issue arose in the first hour after I updated. I know there will be more issues to come. Why is it that every update lately has veteran users scrambling and wasting time to re-learn basic functions??!!

Hmm...it looks as though they've changed it to facilitate the marquee-selection of multiple artboards. (Perhaps this was perceived as an important supplement to the Export for Screens feature set.)

As far as I can tell, the best you can do now is to drag out your new artboard, starting on the pasteboard, then move it onto a pre-existing artboard, position, and resize as desired.

Or draw a rectangle the size of your new artboard and go to Object->Artboards->Convert to Artboards
