Dear Adobe community

I'm have been looking answer to my question way too long time. Maybe someone smarter can help me.

The thing i have at the moment:

Screen Shot 2017-12-10 at 23.33.07.pngScreen Shot 2017-12-10 at 23.33.17.png

So the result would have effect that the more transparent lines are intersecting, the less transparent the line bunch will come. But at the moment My lines are someshow "one thing" and they dont have effect when they are overlapping. But as i have big amount of information to work, the solution shouldnt be too complicated.

Thank you!

Maybe the transparency effect is applied to the layer.

Try to cut them all and paste them on a new layer.

You want to simplify that?

I don't understand the problem or what your question is.

Sorry if my wording wasnt correct.

Anyway, i'll try again. I have bunch of transparent lines, which are overlapping themselves. I want the overlapping areas to decrease the transparency. So that if the 50% transparent line overlaps with second line, which are also 50%, the area of overlap would have higher opacity value (over 50%).

Did you Group them and apply the transparency?

If that's the case, Ungroup them and apply the transparency

Are the overlapping lines connected, part of the same path?

Disconnect them.

Nope, havent grouped them.

But they have been imported from different program and i suspect that this is the way which leads to the answer. But havent found the anwer yet. They are on the same layer.

And they are different paths at the moment, but no success. They are one by one selectable, but somesow program handle their transparency as one path.

But i did a test- if i put one of them on another layer, then it does have an effect, correct effect. But as i have 5000 lines, i couldnt be solution to have have 5000 layers.

Thank you! As it seems to me, one fundamental i have been missed- layers can override objects.
