Rotating Rubik's Cube

Good morning, I am looking for guidance in creating a rubik's cube that has a section that is twisted/rotating like the below picture using 3 point perspective. 

Below is my cube that I created. 

I appreciate any guidance or tips or tricks to make that center section spin/rotate/twist.

I would use illustrators 3d effects... make 3 cube/rectangle segments (middle one spin out)... or use photo-reference
