Smooth Tool Resize

Hi,
The Smooth Tool diameter in Illustrator cannot be resized. Does anyone know how to resize or is this some sort of set default size set by Adobe?

The Smooth tool is for smoothing paths so you just drag it across the points on the path that you want to smooth. You can't make it bigger as it should be used on one path at a time. You can double click the tool to adjust the fidelity setting which controls how far you have to move the cursor before new points are added. Or you can adjust the smoothness setting.
