Kind of solved it.
When created new text, and then tried to copy the style from the old text set using the Eyedropper Tool, the same thing happened.
But when created new text set and entered manually all formating settings of the text like the old one, then went to the old corrupted text and used the Eyedropper Tool to copy the style from the new text set created to the old corrupted text. The old text becomes good again and is able to outline it fine. Which saved me time retyping all text again.
