Texture not saving properly

Hello, everyone!

I added a texture to a bridge vector in Illustrator and it's not saving properly. Below is a screenshot of how it looks in Illustrator:

Below is a screenshot of the saved PDF:

You can barely see the texture. It's much more detailed in Illustrator. I tried to take a screenshot of my Illustrator screen but even that didn't show the texture accurately.

Any ideas?

My Illustrator file can be found here -> Bridge Texture.ai - Google Drive

Thank you!

How did you apply that texture?

I applied it using the Transparency Tool. I made the bridge a mask, unchecked Clip, checked Invert Mask, and added the transparency.

So it's an opacity mask. Is the texture a raster image?

But anyway it might just be toodelicate to display or print. In case you want to print it, you will need to proof it in original size in order to check if it works.

In case this is going to be a logo: it won't work.

Okay, should I choose a different texture, or do textures not work for logos? I used a vector texture.

Since logos are often displayed at tiny sizes, textures will always cause issues.
