in my adobe illustartor i have a red text on top of a black square object and when i zoom in the line between the two colors is not sharp, there is some kind of what i can describe as a low pixel (out)line. when i zoom out it looks like a yellowish outline on the text. what can i do?
Most probably, this is just an on screen issue due to anti-aliasing.
In order to "cure" it you can fill the black rectangle with a rich black (for example: C: 0, M: 100, Y: 0, K: 100).
You could also use more extreme rich blacks like C: 0, M: 100, Y: 100, K: 100, but that depends on the exact colour settings of your red text object.
