Vector files downloaded from freepik not opening in CC

I've downloaded a backdrop from freepik for a project I'm working on. While the .eps file opens fine in Illustrator, when trying to copy and paste it into my own project board, the background becomes transparent and basically loses all its colors! HELP!

    One immediate thing is you're copying from an RGB file into a CMYK one. There are probably a few types of blending modes used on that image and they won't work the same in both colour spaces.
