When saving ai file as pdf, it duplicates one of the pages

Hi,

I have 24 artboards (pages) in my CS4 file. When 'saving as' a PDF,  The window says there are 25 artboards (see screenshot). I save it, read back in, and it has duplicated page 20. There are 25 pages in the pdf.

I keep going back and counting the number of artboards on the screen and there are only 24! Help!

    Thank you, problem solved. There were two artboards on top fo each other. 🙂

      What operating system are you using? CS4 is over ten years old so it is possible if you are using a later operating system which doesn't support your version that erratic behavior could be happening. If this is the case then your problem seems entirely controllable—just delete the extra page in the pdf. Most issues with older versions are not so easily compensated for.

      Hi,

      This is not expected behaviour of th Illustrator. Could you please provide following information

      • Which version of the Illustrator are you currently using?
      • Is it possible to share the file.
      • How did you count the artboards? By virtually seeing it or from Artboards panel? It may possible two artboards are overlapping at same coordinates which sees to be like one by actually they are two. So if you can share the artboards panel screen shot, that will help us to look into the issue.
