Question

White lines on exported eps, blurry exports from jpg, png, etc

I've been trying to export a business card all day now and can't figure out why I keep getting these white lines on the exported picture! I know they're connected to the text and banner but always appear no matter what. If I export it as a jpg, png, or anything else It's always blurry. I'm not sure how to fix this issue since the deadline to submit this is in 4 days... any help will be awesome and yes, I've done hours of research today trying to find an answer and I can't find anything.

Just a note, I am using the 2019 newest updated version of Illustrator.

I would insert a photo for reference, but it keeps saying the image is forbidden, even as a jpg.

White lines - sounds like some transparency flattening is taking place. THis would also take place when you export a PDF/X-1 or X-3 (which is what printing companies these days often demand)

Exporting any raster format would need to take place at a sufficient resolution, but then still text might get blurry especially small text.

What you could do is convert all that transparency stuff to pixels and then set the text on top of it. No transparency whatsoever in it. Then export a PDF.

Here is what I do.  Set your raster resolution to high.  Then, export as .tiff @ 150ppi.  Finally, in Photoshop, Save As > Photoshop PDF.  Open the PDF in Reader; print a proof out of Reader.  I typically send out the PDF for approval, in your case you can submit the PDF.  Should be no interference lines.

desad,

I would suggest your saving a copy as a PDF, forgetting all about raster formats; and if you have a printing company printing it, ask them how they want it, and get a proof lest quality go poof (sorry, it was stronger than I).

I haven't used EPS in a dog's age.  Nobody uses that anymore.

What happens when you saveAs an AI or TIFF file?

EPS is simply obsolete today. Use PDF as a replacement.
