Whydo fonts always show as unsynced even though on typekit it shows them as synced.
This happens over and over again and I am sick and tired of it. Its a waste of time when I am trying to bill a client.

I'm sorry for the trouble! This certainly isn't the expected behavior.
A few font sync users have seen a similar issue, but we don't have enough of the details to determine the cause yet. If you would be willing to answer a few questions, we may be able to find the source of the problem.
First, though, a workaround for you: the next time that you see this problem happen, please try turning off font sync in the Creative Cloud application, wait a moment, and then turn it back on. The option to do this is under the gear icon in Preferences > Creative Cloud > Fonts ("Typekit on/off").
That will start a new sync session, and should get the fonts working for you again in the short term.
The next time the synced fonts disappear from the font menu in Creative Cloud, please check and see if the fonts are still available in a text editor that comes with your operating system, such as Notes or Notepad.
a. if you have Notes or Notepad open on the computer already, please close and reopen it. This will make sure that the list of fonts is up to date.
b. if the synced fonts from Typekit are listed in the font menu, select one of them and type some text. This will confirm that the font data is available on your computer, too, not just the font name.
Once you have gone through those steps, please email support@typekit.com with the following information:
1. are you on OS X or Windows? Which version?
2. If you are on OS X:
a. do you use Suitcase Fusion to manage your installed fonts? Which version do you have installed?
b. do you use Time Machine to back up this computer?
3. The Coresync log file from your computer for that day, so we can check that everything is working as expected. You can find information about how to collect the log file here: Troubleshoot font syncing problems in Typekit
Hopefully with this information we can resolve the issue you're experiencing.
Best regards,
Molly

Here is what I have discovered.
It seems you MUST have the CC app open before opening any applications.
I disabled CC because it is a resource hog and I don't always need it on. I set it to NOT start at PC start up.
But when I opened illustrator and Photoshop before opening the CC app, that is when I had the font sync issues.
I changed the preferences in CC app to open at start up and rebooted my PC. I then open AI and all fonts were there.
problem solved. Its such a freaking pain in the rear that we always need to have the CC app running.
