Constant crashes, Only uninstall and re-install has worked

InCopy Version 20.5 (always using the latest version)

MacBook Pro

Every time I try to open .indd files with InCopy, InCopy doesn't open. I have to uninstall and re-install InCopy from Creative Cloud, and then it mysteriously works. But when I quit, and later on attempt to open another .indd file with InCopy, it's another round of uninstall and re-install. Is there a better way forward?

When I connect to our work server from home, the issue is even worse. InCopy will either not open, or it opens the file and freezes. I'm forced to Force Quit and I cannot work on any InCopy files at all from home.

Would love any advice or help, other than uninstall/re-install. Thank you!
