hello,  Is there an action feature in InDesign, like Photoshop?
Is there a script that records the work steps and then applies the steps automatically when clicked?

If you work on a PC - my tool would do the 2nd part - execute selected steps in the Task - but the 1st part - recording - unfortunately, you have to build Task manually. But then you can do much more than Photoshop Actions can do.

For starters, you have access to all 2000+ menu options - you can even show / hide Paletts - required, if you want to execute some commands from the specified Pallet's menu - they won't work if the Pallet isn't open.

Plus, you can easily sort and filter Objects - and Texts - in your Document(s) - for much better navigation.

No more jumping between pages and trying to locate similar Objects - you can have them quickly and easily as a list - with DoubleClick getting you there instantly.

Same with Text - no more going step-by-step in Find&Change - you can have a list and DoubleClick to have text selected.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg - available in the free version...
