We have an important update regarding the sign-in process for Adobe apps. As part of Adobe's ongoing efforts to enhance security and following Microsoft's deprecation of Internet Explorer 11, Adobe is phasing out support for IE 11 in all its applications.
What does this mean for you?
If you're using an outdated version of Windows or an older version of Adobe desktop apps, you might notice a QR code on the sign-in screen instead of the usual Adobe sign-in interface. This change is designed to ensure a smooth transition away from Internet Explorer 11 with minimal disruption to your workflow.
Although QR code authentication is a temporary fix, we highly recommend updating your operating system and Adobe apps to the latest versions to ensure you receive the latest security patches and enhancements.
To find out which Adobe applications display the QR code during authentication and how you can sign in, click below.

Just no.
I'm not about to scan in a QR code I don't know for anything. I don't know what it does, I don't know where it's going to take me, and you're not telling me here what it will do to my system and why I should let you do it. If you're looking for folks to upgrade their OS and/or Adobe apps, this is just about the worst possible way to get them to do it.

I spend all day just scanning every QR code I can find. The more the merrier.
Hmm.
That's odd.
I just got informed that I'm locked out of my files until I pay someone called N0oBz0r in bitcoin...

I live down in Florida, on the Atlantic coast.
One favorite local scam is to stick a 2-D barcode on the parking kiosks that takes your money and makes it disappear. Then the city tows your car away because you didn't pay for parking along the beach. You can't imagine how happy that makes visitors!
/s. Of course.

It’s great to see Adobe prioritizing security and keeping up with modern authentication methods. The QR code sign-in is a helpful workaround, but updating the OS and apps is definitely the best long-term solution. Hopefully, this transition goes smoothly for everyone!
