I just joined the Cloud and have lost some of my fonts that I have used in the past with InDesign. I understand that Type 1 fonts are no longer available, and while not ok, I guess that's it. As for other fonts, I was under the impression that a good set of Adobe fonts would be available to me, however I cannot activate any and none have been added to my set of fonts I already had. For instance, I have half of a set of Myriad Pro fonts and others are not available. Why is this? Also, I lost Helvetica a long time ago and since this is a standard traditional font, I thought it would be available. Is it? How do I get it and other fonts?

Try logging out and then back in to your Adobe account using the Creative Cloud Desktop App.

Hi @Deanna28744199zp79 , Also, try clicking on Myriad Pro Regular and checking its Path—that will tell you where the local active fonts are installed.
The entire Myriad family is available as a cloud family from Adobe Fonts, so you might read up on activating Adobe Type fonts—they are not installed locally.

So here I have Minion Pro Regular OTF installed in my local user folder
Myriad Pro SemiCondensed is not installed on my system, but was activated from Adobe Fonts:

When my students have difficulties activating the fonts needed in class, we go https://fonts.adobe.com/ and make sure they are logged in. (Often, they are not.) While we're there, we typically activate whatever font(s) we needed, and while it may take a few minutes before they show up in InDesign, I have observed that once they've activated them in the browser window, moving forward, they can usually activate other fonts from within InDesign.
When I'm on the hunt for a new typeface, I prefer to use the browser window — they profile new fonts, trending fonts and offer lots of sorting options to help narrow the search.
