Adobe Indesign Publish Online Feature

New Here ,
Jul 02, 2022 Jul 02, 2022

I want to know if you publish online your document, ex I created a magazine, will it have a flip feature or be automatic with flipping? or how does this work because I do not see the Adobe SWF and I'm showing that this feature was removed from the platform and I actually love animated flip books. Please advise further on this. Thanks in advance

InDesign's Publish Online doesn't offer page turn, but you can create a page turning effect by using one of the many third party applications that use a PDF created from InDesign, such as: https://www.paperturn.com

Why not trying it out? SWF is part of flash and flash has been depreciated for several reasons, but mainly because mobile devices did not support flash. SWF is no more required, however, for animated sites, since HTML5 took over. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SWF

I'm moving this to the InDesign forum.

Take a look at in5. It's a third-party plugin for InDesign from Ajar Productions. https://ajarproductions.com

It definitely has the Page Turn feature.

With in5, ytou can export InDesign interactive features (plus more) to HTML 5, which can be viewed in any web browser.

The closest you can get with Publish Online is a page sliding effect. It works on desktops only.

Here is an example you can check out (the doc also includes many examples of great interactive InDesign docs): https://adobe.ly/2yTI8OE

And here are instrux how to create this effect: https://creativepro.com/what-i-learned-at-creativepro-week-about-publish-online/
