I've been trying to figure out how to get a table with alternating row colours (<< this is the easy bit) to also alternate the TEXT colour of each row (<< the challenging bit!).
For example:
Row 1: Purple with white text
Row 2: White with purple text
etc. alternating...
Yes, I know what you think, it's probably hideous, but that's what's in the sacred brand guidelines, and failure to comply is punishable by death (or not being invited to work for them again).
I read during an extensive um-googling this evening that someone was able to use...
Apply "STYLE" then Next Style
...using paragraph styles.
I diligently set up my two different paragraph styles with different text colours, each referring to one another as the next style, and tried "Apply 'STYLE' then Next Style" on a multiple selection of table rows, but simply can't make it work.
What might I be missing? Is there a better way?
Thanks in advance for any answers. I've got several hundred tables to format so it would be great if there were any time saving tips!

The Next Style won't work on tables. The color rows are easy enough with table style settings, but the color text will need a third-party plugin or a script.

Maybe this plugin could help you:

Thanks! I'll give this a go. I really must learn to script myself one of these days...
