If i make an object style for a specific text frame, how can i make it so text that auto flows from that text frame, keeps the same object style?
Right now it applies "none" and ive also tried to move the little icon for the default text frame object style and it doesnt really do anything.

Hi Amy:
You can't, but you can use the workaround of assigning the object style to the threaded frames with a Find/Change after the auto-flow is complete.

That's how it works currently in InDesign. If you would like to post a feature request for a future version, you can do so here:

I'm sure I filed a bug report about this right when the feature came out. Clearly autoflow should respect at very least the default object style for text frames, if not the actual style of the frame it's flowing from.
BarbBinder's suggestion is good. Another option which is perhaps a little easier is this free script of mine: https://www.id-extras.com/apply-object-style-to-all-text-containers-in-a-story-free-script/
It's easier because you just need to select the text frame whose style you want to apply to all frames until the end of the story. Run the script and it's done.
