BEST TEMPLATE FOR EMAIL PDF NEWSLETTER WITH VIDEO AND GALLERY?

Hi. I want to sent a weekly emailed PDF attachment newsletter which includes a short video message and photo gallery. Can anyone suggest the best template please? There's so many choose from!

Now PDF does not support video or sound anymore. The only way is to have alink to the web which will open a video there. Therefore you wil not find any template for this purpose.

Instead of PDF have a look at InDesign's Publish Online - you can include videos and more.

If you know InDesign such documents are easy to produce and can be read on any device - PC, Mac, Tablet or Smart Phone.

Thanks Derek, that's good to know. My issue is - what I'm doing is building a weekly newsletter which would be emailed out to clients. If this is "publish online" it sounds like the email would need a link for clients to click on, correct?

Yes, the recipients would need to be online to access the Publish Online Newsletter (it's HTML5). You can enable it so that recipients can download a (static) PDF version for reading offline.

You can't use Apple Pages, you need to create it from InDesign.

Also, in layman's terms, do Adobe and Apple get along as systems? Eg, I've created documents in Pages on my Mac, and have encountered problems trying to bring them across/work on them in Adobe platforms like Acrobat. Thanks if you can help.

I'd strongly advise against actually emailing a PDF. For example

- emailing PDF is notoriously unreliable, may arrive damaged

- many people pay to receive data or have limited mailboxes. You could really alienate them

- many mailboxes have small maximum sizes. 
For all these reasons, send a small, well thought out HTML format email, with a link. Remember too that the great majority of people don't view email fraphics by default- be sure the text only is compelling.
