Bezugspunkte in Bezug auf Spiegelung

Explorer ,

mitdreht.

The philosophy of InDesign is rooted in page layout concepts.

Your thinking is more consistent with Illustrator where drawing is the main viewpoint.

I was surprised by this object
why the length does not extend to the right,
if I chose the left reference point
and change the numeric value.

By @derAktive

Can you please elaborate?

If you select the left reference point, the length WILL extend to the right (provided you increase the length). In other words, the reference point is the anchor that will remain in place.

Is your experience different?

Yes, in my case the object is rotated by 90°,
but the reference points do not reflect this rotation.
So if i increase the length, the object will expand
to both sides, which is strange to me.

Ok I see. I didn't notice the rotation value. Yes, I can reproduce that when object is rotated.

I'd call it a bug.

Corner points do work as expected after the rotation (taking the rotation into account).
