Booklet Printing Problem

I have created a half legal page booklet and am trying to use the Print Booklet option. The first spread (pgs 16 &1) prints perfectly. After that there are two spreads, half the correct size, per page with no double sided printing though this is is an option on my printer. Any advice deeply appreciated!

In order for Print Booklet to function properly, the document needs to be set up as separate pages in reader order. In your case, each page should be7 x 8.5.  The Print Booket funtion does the pagination for you.

If you are using InDesign's built-in Print Booklet, set your Print page size to Legal, if you are using a booklet printing fuction of your office printer, you may need to leave the print page size at Legal - Half.

Also, make sure you click Print Settings... and setup the Page Size to match the paper size, which needs to be large enough to contain a spread. And check Print Blank Pages.
