the preview is not working in the mac finder. Several posts about this and nothing is being said about it from Adobe that I can see. Adobe, please fix this issue. Say something at least. See what your fellow designers are saying about this bug.

You can view previews of pages in the Macintosh Finder if you meet a couple requirements:
Example shown below:
(1) You need to be using InDesign CC 2023 (preferably 18.2.1)
(2) You need to set your InDesign File Handling preferences to save preview. You choose how many pages to save and what resolution:
(3) There are four options in the Finder for viewing a file: Icon, List, Columns and Gallery. The Preview can be seen in Columns or Gallery (icons and list don't show previews).

Just a little correction: you can see previews in both Icons and List view if you enable the Preview pane (View > Show Preview).

Steve, I appreciate your post, however, my original post was about ther Mac FINDER in column view. below is the screen shot. I dont want to have to view everything in gallery view or bridge. My point was the LIST view in the mac finder used to show the preview. This is the work format I use and it was very convenient to look down a list of names in a folder and if you had similar versions of something, the preview would help identify what you were looking for. It's a very simple request to Adobe, as it used to work just fine. I'm sure there are other designers who would agree with me. Let's hear from the designers...
