Every year (once) I install and run an InDesign calendar wizard. It doesn't have an installation file, I normally just copy it to plugins.
Running InDesign 2025 on Windows 11, I cannot see any way to execute the JS file... Nothing useful in the plugins menu/panel (what are they there for anyway?). I can't seem to find a way to just execute the JS.
Help please!
The plugins folder is for old compiled plugins, not scripts.
The plugins menu is for a new technology "UXP" of faux plugins, closer to web technology. You'd install them as .ccx file or from the "Exchange" marketplace / cloud service.
For your js/jsx:
Open Window >> Utilities >> Scripts panel.
Choose the user folder.
Reveal in Finder / Exploder
Copy to there.
Launch from that panel.

You should be using more scripts, plugins and plug-ins 😉
