Hi. My computer shut down unexpectedly yesterday and since then the Mini-bridge panel is empty in InDesign. Yes, I saw another thread from 2014 with a similar issue but I don't understand the instructions, nor was the issue resolved.
I can open Bridge but Bridge doesn't reflect changes to files in my project as I go along, even if I close and reopen file location. I can make changes and save to a new folder and access via new folder, but have lost the ability to save the changes I make in PS immediately to the folder I'm working in.
Can anybody explain in simple English how I might reconnect Mini-bridge with InDesign.
I've tried clearing preferences in Bridge and I've checked my start-up preferences and Bridge is checked.
I'm running ID with CS5.
Thank you.
Okay. I am back on track and realizing that I never even needed mini-bridge to begin with. I've set myself up with the compact version of bridge, and all features are working well, including the save-new-edit feature I thought I had lost previously. but to be clear, hacking your system with regedit can have unseen (and nasty) effects if you make mistakes so read all the steps and make a backup before trying it

Ok, but based on what I've learned since you asked the question, uninstalling/reinstalling is not going to fix it so I'm going to take back that answer. Do you have an IT dept, or a tech-savvy friend who can help?

I can continue on, slightly crippled, I guess, grabbing images from Explorer. I have many more projects lined up and I really need InDesign to work properly, in the long run. I'm very reluctant to sign onto CC but maybe I'll be forced to at some point.
