This post is more in hopes to get this feature added. I understand Illustator is the only program at the moment to have a tapered line feature, but why? Why is this feature not implemented in InDesign? It's 2024, we have generative photo filling features being added to InDesign, yet there is no way to create a tapered line? Am i crazy for thinking this?
I create a lot of social media templates, and i understand that indesign may not be the first choice for many when doing this, but as a solo in-house designer for a company this just makes sense on so many levels for consistency and what not. But I am now running into clients that have added tapered lines as brand elements and I now have to either completely redesign my templates in Illustrator, or create a tapered line in Illustrator and bring it over?! In situations where I have photos outlined by the shapes, i am now having to create so many more elements outside of InDesign just for this simple effect, and the fact that you can add arrows and scale them on a line blows my mind that tapered lines aren't a thing. It does'nt need to be anywhere near as complex as illustrator, just let us be able to make on side of the line thicker.
