can you retrieve previously cut text boxes in indesign

I cut a text box then went to paste it and it wasnt there. Is there a place I can retrieve previously cut items?

A plain old Undo should put the cut frame back where it was, no?

I agree with @TᴀW . InDesign has more Undos that you need to return you to your document status before cutting. You could use multiple Undos if you need to.

Then it's gone.
