Hello,

I can successfully add Paragraph or Character styles to a CC library, but i was wondering how i could manage/update the style itself, to be able to use this updated style to other documents using this style from this CC library. This doesn't seem to work.

I must be missing something or am i just doing it wrong?

Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.

Since you are allowed to have several styles with the same name in your library, you might have to add the new edited one and delete the old.

Or keep both versions, but make sure to rename them to avoid confusion

Hi Eric,

Thank you for your reply.

I have found that if you:

  1. Have multiple documents
  2. You can export your paragraph styles to a CC library
  3. Change a paragraph style in one document
  4. Remove old CC library style
  5. Add the updated paragraph style to same CC library
  6. Open another document
  7. You can apply the paragraph styles from CC library to your document manually by selecting them in CC libary, then right click "Add Paragraph style" At that moment your changes should come through.

I was hoping this process would be a little more automated for paragraph styles... When i use a CC library style, i should be able to pdate it to the CC library, and changes should be made automatically to all other documents using those styles, when opened ofcourse. To my knowledge, this doesn't seem to work. Has anybody got another experience?

Is there any way to make a paragraph or character style a "Linked Asset"??On helpx.adobe.com there is an article about managing assets in creative cloud libraries.

Keep graphics up to date with linked assets
When using library assets that may be modified, use linked assets for peace of mind.  When an original asset is modified, all project files using the linked asset will be updated to the latest version. Assets dragged from the Libraries panel are linked assets by default.
