Cell fill in indesign

Explorer ,
Jan 08, 2025 Jan 08, 2025

I'm trying to fill table cells like this post: https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/how-do-i-make-a-diagonal-lines-fill/td-p/6731...

Is this possible to do it in Adobe InDesign as well? I've tried looking everywhere but I haven't been lucky. Thanks so much!

Or copy your cell into a RectangleTextFrame, create Rectangle and place beneath, fill with pattern, group, paste back in the cell.

Pattern fills are not a feature in InDesign. You examples are all from Illustrator which does very well with pattern fills.

All cells / whole Table or only some cells?

The easiest way would be to duplicate the table, put it in the back, remove all contents and place file with your fill pattern into specific cells.
