Hi,
I wondered if anyone might have some helpful advice or shed some light on this subject. After being informed not long ago about the discontinuation of 'Creative Cloud Synced Files' myself and collegues have been looking for alternative solutions to continue collaborating between InDesign and InCopy which doesn't involve the Creative Cloud Synced Files method.
We have considered OneDrive/Sharepoint and Google Drive, also DropBox. Which are all viable, but is additional cost/storage.
I did think its crazy given the premium of Adobe Creative Cloud and all its been built to be, not having this link anymore within Adobe framework. So having a search about what Adobe might be doing to bridge this gap.. I was reading copy editing online coming to InDesign which seems to be a lost cause as it was a long time ago, searching for updates as to if it will ever happen - a miscommunication between departments about releasing is as far as I got.
After this I looked into Cloud Documents storage via app (Creative Cloud), 'InDesign Beta' currently supports saving InDesign files to the Cloud within app and sharing, can also save images via Photoshop and link these in InDesign via CC Cloud (very handy). This has potential...
The big question is: Can the Cloud Docs be used to collaborate with InCopy? I cannot see that InCopy is supported within the Cloud Docs (as I am not allowed to export InCopy assignments/stories from an InDesign Cloud Doc)? Or will this online copy editing be the future InDesign files on the Cloud Docs (which would probably render InCopy a bit pointless unless this is the direction of InCopy itself)?

I've used OneDrive and Dropbox for this and they both work well. Not a fan of Google Drive.

Hi @SB2011 , The cloud formats—.psdc, aic, and the future InDesign format—are a more opaque form of syncing. To replicate the Creative Cloud Files syncing, I think you are going to have to pay for a third party service. See this thread:
