Hi All,

I am having color issue when saving InDesign print file that has spot colors. For some reason when it gets saved to PDF all the colors appear 4 color process when I check PDF file in output. Not sure if I am missing some kind of  setting in InDesign or a setting in Acrobat?

Thank you!

Yes, the InDesign color shows up as Pantone but when I open PDF all those colors shows up as 4-color process.

What are you export settings? What does the ink manager show? I already asked once. Without that we can't help

Yes, the InDesign color shows up as Pantone

Just to clarify the reason for my question— if Spots are set to Process in Ink Manager, InDesign’s Separation Preview will not list the spot plate(s):Screen Shot 8.png

There are 3 places Ink Manager caould affect output.

First is in InDesign in your Swatch list. However, if you had changed your Ink Manager settings there, this would affect the Separations preview accordingly, so that's not it.

2. Depending on your PDF Export settings, there's an Ink Manager in the Output section, so check what settings your are using.

3. In Acrobat, there's an Ink Manager in Output Preview.

what is the Adobe PDF preset you use?

when you export to prinnt, check the output section> ink manager

you'll be able to see spot colors and make sure that All spot to process is not checked.
