Comments not showing correctly in share for review link in InDesign

Hi,

I have a problem with Adobe Review function. A couple of collegeas reviewed my work but the thing is that the reviews are not showing proparly in Indesign.

There are also some flaws in the web browser, where all the comments are not showing correctly according to where they were originally placed in the document.

I can click on them in the side bar but it won't show the placements. (both Indesign and browser) Very annoying since I have to figure out where the comment is made..

  • I use the latest InDesign version
  • I did all the steps mentioned in this article > Share for review issues in InDesign (adobe.com
  • I'm using a Windows computer but some other people use Apple
  • The file is quit large and I noticed a delay in responce when scrolling through the document (only when I used the review function)
  • I work from a online server, also tried to save it on my desktop that didn't work either
  • My collegeaus cannot see the comments properly anymore either

Hi @Amber29596556cg7k,

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with Adobe Review. Let's see if we can help you out with the following steps:

  1. Try clearing your browser cache and reloading the review link again. If that doesn't work, try using a different web browser.
  2. Sign out and sign in to Creative Cloud.
  3. If none of the above solutions work, please share the share for review link with me over a private message so that we can check at our end.

In the meantime, here are some tips for working with shared InDesign documents:

  • When you receive your InDesign document, open it in a browser and use pin or drawing tools to provide feedback to the designer.
  • Adobe recommends that a reviewer creates an Adobe ID before adding comments to manage the comments better.
  • You can view feedback from stakeholders in InDesign using the Review panel. Feedback provided by stakeholders is available in almost real-time through the application.
  • Alternatively, select More Options and select Manage Reviews on the web. Open your shared designs from https://assets.adobe.com/ to view feedback.

Please let us know if that helps. We will be happy to assist you further.

Thanks,
Harshika

Hi Harshika,

Thanks for your responce and responce!

Unforntunally none of the above solutions seems to work.

Most of the problem's are from my perspective, the designer.

So my colleages commented on my work but I won't see it correctly in Indesign.

I won't share the shared files, since it has confidential information in it. So I can show you a little bit what I see: This is a page without any content but it suppose to be on the other left page. These are the pins:

Marked comments:

The marked content is not showing in the document. The review section in the sidebar is clickable but won't direct me or show me where this marked comment is for.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Amber
