Constant crashing + Undo/Save problems

Hi,
I just updated to InDesign CC 2018 (v13.0.1). And after this update I've had a lot of problems.
First of, I can't use Undo and Save for most of my projects. Sometimes it works, but most often not.
Second, it keeps crashing time after time. Most often this occours when I open a new document
while I have another one opened already. Sometimes it happens when opening InDesign and
sometimes while saving documents.
These problems wasn't a problem before the update. So I thought that it had to do with this update.
So I "downgraded" to the CC 2017 (12.1.0.56) version again to see if this helped, but now I keep getting the
same problems there.
I've tried to clear the preferences, but it doesn't help.
I have a Crash Report if this could be of any use.
Anyone have any idea what I should do? I can't work with the program at all at the moment.

What happens if you create a new document? Can you Save? Can you Undo a command?

Same problem when creating a new document. On my Macbook it works just fine as with the same document on the iMac.

Have you uninstalled/reinstalled InDesign? These are obvious things to try, but just want to make sure. BTW, when you uninstall, make sure to delete existing prefs, of course.
If the document works on your MBP then obviously the problem is with InDesign itself or something on your iMac that InDesign doesn't like.
Another thing to try: reboot in Safe mode (hold down the Shift key after the startup chimes). Rebooting into Safe mode disables all Mac OS system log-in items.

Rebooting in Safe mode didn't help. Same problem as it was before.
Got any more tips?

Sorry, forgot to answer that. Yes, I've done it couple of times. Tried to only install InDesign 2017, same problem. Then tried to only install InDesign 2018, same result.

Hmm. This is one tough nut to crack. My last suggestion is to reinstall MacOS. Not really that big a deal, but sometimes I've discovered that there's something in the computer's operating system that causes these problems.

I'll try to give this a go after the holidays. See if it helps or not. I would assume it will fix the issue, since what it seems like is that there's something after the update that stays, even after uninstalling and removing all preferences and cache.
I'll remember to update this thread if it helps!

I suggest you don't add personal data on this forum.

Hi ronjaw
Try to delete the Cache of the MBP. After that clear the preferences once more.
Kind regards

Deleting the cache and preferences once more didn't help either I'm afraid.

I would make another account on your MBP und try it there.
If it works then there is a problem with your account. I would go to ~/Libraries/Application support and rename or remove everything concerning InDesign or even CC.
If it does not work, there is a second cache for the MBP I would try to delete this cache as well.
