Continued tables and footnotes | Why, oh why...

Why does a continued paragraph, or word get counted as the first
instance in the second text frame (as it should), but not footnotes or
tables. If you have a continued footnote or table in a text frame the
tables collection or footnotes collection will both be empty. This makes
it very difficult to determine (reliably) whether you have a table or
footnote in a frame.

Tables can be inversely determined relatively easily by checking if
there are any lines in the frame (assuming there is no text besides).
Footnotes however, is *way* more complicated... :(

Here I am, nearly a year later with the same lament -- at least as far as footnotes are concerned.

They have a textColumns collection that is always empty.

Oh growl.
