Copy Placement Presets (import from Word)

I'm trying to set mapping of Word styles to InDesign styles for Placing Word documents in InDesign. I've come up with a mapping that works on my desktop. I saved this set of settings (including the mapping) as a Preset. It is associated with a template file that I saved.
I assumed that when I sent the template file to my colleague, he too would have access to the Preset, but it seems that he doesn't--the Preset file did not transport with the template.
So how do I get that peset file to my colleague so that he can use those style mappings?
Thanks
Jim

That's a good question. Being able to store, and share, import mappings would be very useful.
I am willing to bet, though, that the answer is, "Ya can't get there from here." Saving the preset should preserve this info — and, I suppose, does, somewhere — but is not accessible, as far as I can tell.
