1. Sometimes, resetting InDesign preferences resolves unexpected behavior. You can do this by pressing Cmd+Option+Shift while launching InDesign and then confirming the reset.
2. Ensure any connected devices (external monitors, drives, or peripherals) aren’t causing a delay. If you’re using an external display, consider testing with a different cable (e.g., HDMI vs. USB-C).

4. Go to InDesign > Preferences > GPU Performance, and disable GPU Performance to see if that resolves the lag.
5. Use Activity Monitor to check if any background apps are consuming excessive CPU or memory while InDesign is running.
