Document doesn't retain PDF export settings

Community Beginner ,

I recently noticed that when generating a PDF, my document will revert to the exports settings used on a previous document rather than retaining the settings that I had used from the last time I had exported from that specific document.

For example:

Open document A> export with default settings

Open document B> change settings to downsample images to 72dpi> export

Reopen document A> export pdf (settings are set to downsample to 72dpi)

Any insight would be appreciated.

Uhm... that's just a normal behavior... I wonder if your ID ever acted differently?

I used to set the pdf export settings on a template and the file would retain those settings when it came time to export. Not so anymore. Not sure what changed. 😕

May it be you're talking about exported pdf name? Indeed, each document 'remembers' under what name pdf was exported from it last time. Not so with export presets. These are of 'application level', so to say. ID 'remembers' what preset was used last and offers it on the next export, from any document.

No. I'm just referring to the actual settings.
