I guess though Noida will see several more monsoons before they add that to InDesign, or they just skip it and only do UXP.

If you're in a hurry you could run an own V8 engine via plugin. Doable (I have V8 version 8.0 going with CC 2018) but since I read about the "New World" of above I consider mine a wasted effort.
