Hello all,
I've created two object states that mimic a pop-up video player. Here's how it works:
State 1 is just a play button. Click it and it goes to State 2.
State 2 has an embedded YouTube video, a little bit of text, and an "X" button. Click the "X" and it goes back to State 1 to mimic "closing" the player. (All of this is on top of a black rectangle that is slightly faded to cover content behind it).
When I publish online to test it, it works great.
But here's the problem: If the YouTube video is played and I click the X to go back to State 1, the YouTube video stays there. It doesn't disappear. The weird part is that when I DON'T play the video and try to X out, it does disappear.
Any thoughts as to why this is happening and how to fix?
Thank you!

Wow, this definitely sounds like a unique issue.
You've given a very detailed explanation of the issue. As JonathanArias stated, a little more information is still needed for us to troubleshoot this issue for you.
Would you also provide us a Dropbox or Google Drive link to this file?

Hi,
What does it do when it does not disappear? Does it show the list for upcoming videos to be played? or does it reset itself to the start of the just played video?

I copied the embed code from YouTube and then pasted into InDesign. After a few seconds, InDesign generates a box with the video preview. When I publish online, the video is there and it works.
Here's the link:

This page is in State 1. If you click the yellow play box on the left, it will open the "pop-up" with the YouTube video. That's State 2.
I discovered that the issue I originally posted about is only happening in Safari. If you're in Safari and try and close the pop-up with the yellow X and return to State 1, the video will remain there on the page. It should disappear because it's not in State 1. Chrome and Firefox don't give me this problem.
Here's the new issue: Even in Chrome or Firefox, if you don't pause the YouTube video before you X out of the pop-up, the video will keep playing! Turn up the volume, you'll hear it.
So yes, I could just keep using Chrome or Firefox and make sure to hit pause before I close the pop-up, but what do you think? Any fixes for these things?
