Endnote and importing file

I'm currently importing a document into InDesign from Word. It has over 180 endnotes. When I import it, the endnotes separate from the main text and go into their own section.

The endnote section does not expand. It seems like the endnotes are connected properly, but I just want to check and ask: is this the correct behavior for importing a document with endnotes into InDesign from Word?

Thank you!

Yeh as far as I know endnotes go into their own section at the end of a document.

What do you mean the endnote section does not expand?

I'm not sure what to help with here as I don't see any examples or any information to reply to that is a question.

Can you please be more specific to what is happening exactly?
