Error exporting file to PDF

New Here ,
May 28, 2024 May 28, 2024

Hi there. I'm trying to export an InDesign file but this error prompts:

"Failed to export the PDF file."

"Possible cause of failure is present on spread with page number "4"

Is it because I am using the embedded font or the file maight be corrupted? (when i am trying to package it failed too)

Try IDMLing to fix your file - export as IDML, open, save with a new name.

If it won't help - check what is on 4th page - then start deleting objects one by one untill you find culprit.

The font is shown the error message: "DFYuanHK W3"

I did a search for that font name and found this page. It's an older font and probably doesn't allow creation of PDF. You can see the name of the creator on this page. If you could find the creator company you can get confirmation of this:

Is the font used in a placed graphic on page 4? or is it used more widespread throughtout the document?  If the former, you could consider converting the font to outline in that graphic to avoid the situation alrogether.
