excel spreadsheet into indesign

When I import an excel spreadsheet into InDesign it only shows up as red dots and it doesn't show the table lines.  What am I doing wrong?  It worked a few days ago.  Any help is appreciated!

Sounds like text overflow to me. Drag out the cells to make them larger and see if the text comes back.
