Export not functioning

The export function has stopped functioning. I click Archive --> Export (command E) and the window does not pop up. I usually export to pdf and have not changed any settings. 

I have tried to reinstall InDesign programme, restarted the whole MacBook and tried different previous InDesign files to export (the files was exported to pdf before this error) with no luck. 

What could be the problem and how to I solve it?

The problem was solved by updating the OS to version  12.6.

  3. Where are the files, on a remote server, locally?

  1. Is there a reason, why you do not update InDesign (17.4 is the current version)?
  2. How did you install InDesign? From the CC Ddesktop Application or via transfer from a backp or older computer?

If your macOS version is 12.0.1, then please update the operating system. As per the similar discussion shared in my last reply, there was a known issue with 12.0.1 so please update the OS and let us know if that solves the issue or if you need any further assistance.

Sorry to hear about the trouble. The latest version of InDesign is 17.4, so will it be possible for you to test this on the latest version?
