Frame around two objects

These figures consist of three things. (1) An artboard imported from Illustrator; (2) a caption in a text box; (3) a frame I drew around (1) and (2) after grouping them.

Seems a fit fiddly. Is there a more direct route?

HI @MarieMeyer:

The final frame is to add a border around both the caption and the figure?

My first thought (that is ever so slightly less fussy),is to increase the size of the frame around the image at the bottom. Put the border on the graphic frame, and then drag the caption up into the space you created. Select both, group and (presumably) add text wrap.

On second thought, you could make a 1 column, 2 row table and put in the two elements inside. You can save the table in the Library for easy access. That's really the better choice.
