Hello! I am trying to send a portfolio in to be printed with a spiral bound that separates two 11x17 spreads down the center, so when open both pages are face up. Can someone please provide the setting and neacessary steps to print this book style to pdf? I don't want to have to rearrange a ton of content. Please see attached photo, the black line is where I want to have the spiral binding

. I am desperate!

It's not really clear how you have this laid out, but I am assuming you want 11x17 pages with room on the inside margin to allow for spiral bind punching. That should be inherent in a simple facing-pages layout, but here's what you want:

(That's laid out in picas but represents 11x17 pages.)

Mostly, you want two facing 11x17 pages with (about) a 1-inch margin on the inside (joining) margin of each page. The other three margins depend on your printing process; if you don't have the ability print bleeds (color to the page edge), you will want to keep them at about 1/2 inch.

This is, kinda, Step 1 of about ten to get a layout from "pretty pictures" to "print ready." But that's the start.

You should check with your printer as to how they want the job set up. The printers that I have dealt with preferred spiral bound jobs to be set up as single pages. This requires two different parent pages to be used with the margin for the spiral adjusted properly and the parent pages applied to alternating pages.
