Mini Bridge seems to be missing from my Creative Cloud versions of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

How do I enable Mini Bridge?

I am up to date on all versions of the apps and I am running on a Mac.

I am able to use the full version of Bridge for browsing.

There is nothing to fix. You responded to an very old question. In the meantime MiniBridge does not exist any morer and therefore ther will not be any workaround to revive it. Adobe has removed all Flash based menu components as MiniBridge was one of them.

Just I think the developers doesn't work with Indesign and don't care what we need.

I'm not sure I agree with this statement: I see Adobe listening to and responding to user needs all the time. If you have a specific idea for Adobe, you can let them know here: Feature Request/Bug Report Form .

As for keeping track of the images used, Bridge offers both color labels and stars. It would be pretty easy to set up a system to keep track of which files you have already used.

Not sure if I've understand your workaround.

I opened up InDesign and Bridge and arranged them on my desktop to resemble the old look for Mini-Bridge. If you aren't familiar with how to use Bridge, here's a start: What is Adobe Bridge? | Adobe Photoshop CC tutorials .

Thanks BarbBinder.

Well, if for you to make a workaround (arranging Indesign and Bridge on your desktop) make you confortable it's ok. I think I've spent a lot of money to buy Adobe products and not have the possibility to work easy, in this case with Indesign with a preatty normal browsign images/ file to place into my project is a really frustratign situation that for sure drive me to quite paying for this software to buy another one.

Bridge older versions (CS5 and older) works great with СС2017 (tick "compact mode" and "always on top") Alas, СС2017 those ticks for some reason removed. Can't understand who they prevented.

ps we are talking about the PC version, the Mac mini bridge is preserved.

Hi IgorPupkin:

ps we are talking about the PC version, the Mac mini bridge is preserved.

Mini Bridge (and Kuler) were based on an outdated technology and have been removed from Photoshop CC 2014 forward. This impacts both the both Mac and Windows versions of InDesign.

And tick "always on top" and "compact mode" why was removed from a full bridge? Also outdated technology?

Hi IgorPupkin :

I don't know what was factored in when Adobe removed these options—this is the community forum and like all of the Adobe Community Professionals who volunteer time to answer questions, I'm a user like you.

To reach the product engineers to ask these questions and/or put in feature requests, use this page: Bridge | Photoshop Family Customer Community.

Adobe changed the coding language for their extensions platform (CEP) from MXML/ActionScript to HTML/CSS/JavaScript. I assume the reason was most developers would be abandoning ActionScript coding (compiled as SWF for the web applications) for HTML/Javascript.

Kuler was rewritten as Adobe Color Theme, so there maybe a technical reason for MiniBridge not also getting a rewrite—I think there are actually lots of users (me) who miss it. Communicating between ID and Bridge may be harder using JavaScript but I notice that the latest Bridge 8 now is extensible, so it might be just a matter of getting more users to weigh in with a feature request.

Likewise, there are a lot of Photoshop users who would like MiniBridge returned as well. Keep the feature requests coming in both applications. Here's the feature request location for InDesign:
