How to get all footnotes at the end of the text in a multi-column text box?

I have a three column text box, I want the footnotes to be arranged all at the end of the text, so all in the third column. How can this be done?

Footnotes appear at the bottom of a column, endnotes appear at the end of the story. There is a footnote to endnote conversion option in the Type menu but they will appear in their own frame on the following page. They need to be in their own frame for InDesign to manage them, but you can move the frame to the desired position on the previous page (remove column 3 and place the frame there).
