This may be a dumb question, but I can't figure it out since I don't use InDesign a whole lot. I am creating a document with multiple steps that continue on different pages. How do I change the numbers in the text box to start with a specific number?

In the paragraph style for the numbered list, you can select whether the list continues on from the one before or start at a specific number:

Hello,
I'll be happy to help. In addition to the response given earlier, you may also click on the link to know how to change numbers in specific parts of document:

This page will guide you in detail how you can number pages, chapters and sections.
Hope this helps!

So, I just actually tried to do this, and mine isn't listed in the same way. When I changed the "Start Page Numbering at" it still didn't change. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
